Welcome to the Web Site of the
Albuquerque Sovereign Grace Baptist Church
-- Current Events --
Our Sunday morning class continues in the Gospel of John:
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father, full of grace and truth."
John 1:14
Pastor Treadwell is preaching through Paul's letter to the Romans
during worship services. On alternate Sundays Brother Sharpes
is going through the Letters of the Apostle John.
On Sunday night, we are studying the One who is holy using the
"Fear and Trembling" study by Dr. R.C. Sproul: "The fear of
the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Prov 1:7), but often we
do not fear the Lord as we ought because we forget how He
is revealed in Scripture." Sessions include: Encountering God;
Holy, Holy, Holy; Inner Sanctum; What Manner of Man is This?;
Cosmic Treason; and Fear & Trembling.
Our Wednesday evening studies are in the books of Samuel.
See the "Services" page for more details.
There you will find a link to the Scriptures
and sermon topics which have preached
with the accompanying hymns from mid-2001.

We are looking into making our sermons available on the Internet.
Congratulations to our Assistant Music Director, Ms. Makiko Kimura. She recently graduated from the University of New Mexico with her Master's Degree in Accompaniment. We continue to be blest by her participation in the church. Since 2005, her contributions have steadily increased so that it is hard to imagine how we got along before Hurricane Katrina blew her to us.
Be sure to explore the Devotionals link. You will find "Morning and Evening" by Spurgeon as well as "Faith's Checkbook" a great source of blessing. Also, there are links to devotionals written by Octavius Winslow, F.B. Meyer and Joseph Charles Philpot.
We trust your soul will be refreshed.
We continue to explore the possibility of a radio ministry. Should it become a reality, it will truly be of the Lord.
"Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake."
Psalm 115:1 |
